“Not worth the money”

Trip Verified | Absolutely shameful business class, which in fact is exactly the same as the economy class, but in the middle they made something like a table instead of a seat. We sat very uncomfortable throughout the flight, because there was very little legroom (you can see it in the photo). I also wanted a glass of white wine, but there was no alcohol at all, which was very strange. I will never choose Turkish Airlines again. Not worth the money.

"reported the damage within 3 days"

Trip Verified | Turkish Airlines broke my bag and is refusing to repair or replace it. I reported the damage within 3 days once I noticed the bag was damaged after unwrapping the protective plastic at home. They are arguing that since I didn't detect it at the airport and report it there it isn't covered even though their policy says if the bag is discovered to be damaged after leaving you just have to create a damage report online.

"staff was very unhelpful"

Trip Verified | The whole experience with the airline was chaotic for me. I was denied boarding and I understand the reason, but the staff was very unhelpful and treated me with such arrogant attitude. First, the staff said "my manager can help you with changing your flight ticket", then when I went to the so-called manager he was very rude and just disregarded me by saying "it's your fault and you have to buy a new ticket" without looking at me at all. And he pointed out to next colleague to help me with buying a new ticket. And her service was so sour! I eventually opted to leave the airport and she just pointed to a direction to exit the airport without much explanation of how to go there. When I arrive at the so-called exit door after roaming in Istanbul Airport for 10 minutes. It was not the door to exit and I had to go to the other end of the airport.

“never fails to amaze me”

"Flight was perfect and reliable"

Trip Verified | Flight was perfect and reliable. All crew members with a smile, very helpful and did know about special requests. Food on a shorter flight normally not necessary but Turkish always does a great job in catering. Tasty and enough, also drinks free of charge, seats comfortable. Most impressive and best is Turkish hospitality if all crew members. Big thank you for the excellent job. 5 Stars as always and looking forward my next flights to be back "home" again.

“everyone just ignored us”

Trip Verified | April 2024. Our Flight time with Turkish Airlines: 14:50. We arrived check in desk around 12:05 pm. The male staff at the check in said that one of my luggage was over the limit by 6 kilos. I said that I have already weighed it at home and our luggage allowance is 90 kgs as a family (me, my wife and my 4 months old child). The staff said that it will be per person 40 kgs and asked me to pay. Shortly after another female staff arrived and took over. She weighed my luggage again and started discussing the same issues. She did not give me any chance to rearrange my luggage, and just insisted that I should pay. Since my total of all luggage was less than 90 kgs, I refused. She took it very personally and kept discussing to the point where I would be late on boarding the flight. Despite seeing that I had a 4 months child with me, she showed no empathy and professionalism. After there is less than 1 hour to my flight, then only she checked in all my luggage and provided me a boarding pass. She clearly knew that it was almost impossible to reach the boarding gate as it closes 20mins before flight. As I was travelling with my wife and 4 months child it is difficult for me to make security check and immigration check within short time but I managed to reach there at 14:32 (18min before flight). I could see that people were still walking towards the plane to board the flight. When we arrived at the gate, all the staff just chose to ignore us. They had all agreed amongst themselves to ignore us and deliberately make us miss our flight. I stood there and pleaded and begged for help, but shockingly everyone just ignored us as if we were invisible. No one came forward to ask why I was asking for help. After 10 mins standing there one of staff came and told me all your checkin luggage are returned to belt number 3. After that I felt lost as it was very important flight for me and it resulted in mental stress for both myself and my wife. I then bought another ticket from Air India for the same day, but it resulted in financial loss as I had very limited budget and huge mental and physical suffering as I was travelling with my 4 months old child. I missed my flight because of the Turkish airline’s staff at check in and ignorance of their staff at the boarding gate. I asked Turkish Airlines to review the incident and refund my money. However, they have refused the refund saying that I was late to the boarding gate. They didn’t consider the fact that I was late due to their staff at the check in. As i am a regular traveler from different airlines and I really doesn't want to refer this airline to anybody.

Trip Verified | From Prague to Cairo via Istanbul and back, all 4 flights were perfect. Cabin crew professional, polite, helpful and really good. As usual best catering, comfortable seats and punctual time. Deserve to be the best Airlines in Europe. Keep up the good work.

"deeply unsatisfied and disappointed"

Trip Verified | I am writing a review to express my extreme dissatisfaction and poor experience with Turkish airline in flight number (TK758) on 2nd January 2024 which was canceled due to weather condition. We arrived at the airport via 2 separate cars (costs £120) eager to return home after an enjoyable holiday, we checked in our luggage and went on our way to the gate - until we were met with the news that our flight was delayed for 2 hours (this comes after we were told the day before during the online check in that our flight had been cancelled and we were forced to book another flight). We’ve been informed by the airlines representative that we are eligible for a £10 food voucher, which I had to wait a long time to receive. After the long 2 hours had passed, we headed to the gate hopeful to board our flight - this is when we found out that the flight had been cancelled. We were forced to wait in line for an hour at the UK border control - even though we hadn’t left the country, and then went to collect our luggage, one of the suitcases had been destroyed. Then we’ve been informed that our next flight was the next day at 11am, we deny this option and chose to extend our stay in the UK until Saturday . We haven’t received a compensation for our damaged suitcase, and we had to make our way home using Taxi and train to reduce the cost. This experience left me deeply unsatisfied and disappointed

“seating comfortable and meal pleasant”

Trip Verified | The rather clunky online check-in system would not allow us to check in because one of the connecting flights (on the same ticket) was with another airline. However, the airport check in was very fast. The Egyptair lounge was basic but had a range of tasty snacks (no alcohol). Boarding of this evening flight was smooth and the crew's welcome was warm. The seating was comfortable and the meal was pleasant, though again no alcohol was available. The flight operated 45 minutes late, so we missed our onward connection to Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne. It took a long time and a bit of running around from one end of the huge Istanbul terminal to the other, but TK was able to reroute our flight via Bangkok 15 hours later. They provided a nice hotel (40 mins drive from the airport by free shuttle) and we were able to get some sleep at 4.30 a.m. More information on the flight delay could have been provided at Cairo airport, but otherwise we felt that TK had done everything possible to put us back on track.

"an excellent experience"

Trip Verified | The lounge used by TK at KLIA is very pleasant but you need to take a short bus ride to a different terminal to get to it. Once onboard the first flight, the welcome onboard was friendly with a chef taking food orders. The B777's seating is 2-2-2 but the seats were wide and comfortable with adequate storage, The food and drink options were good. TK's business lounge at Istanbul is very impressive with many food and seating options. For the second leg to Casablanca we were bussed to the aircraft, but the operation was reasonably efficient. Onboard the onboard service was professional, and the A350's 1-2-1 abreast seats were very comfortable for the regional flight. Both flights operated on time, and baggage was available without much of a wait. Overall this was an excellent experience for the price paid.
