"I see the difference"

(Canada)

Verified Review | Flew from Vancouver to Calgary on WestJet's Plus product. Seating was in 2x2, similar to regular Economy Class but with the middle seat blocked off. If their seat is in fact 17" wide, I would understand others' complaint with the width when flying long-haul. However, for short-haul flights, I do not see any reason why the seat would be uncomfortable. The leg room was noticeably way more than Economy. I've flown long haul in Premium Economy with other airlines before and I understand the differences between a regular Economy seat and such seat. However, this was my first time in Premium on a domestic flight and boy do I see the difference. The extra seat pitch made it possible for me to sleep on a day-time flight. There was a power outlet in every seat which made it a breeze recharging my electronics before landing. There was also extra food storage as a result of the blockade of the middle seat. Great seat overall.

"Seats are 1990s style"

(Canada)

Seats are 1990s style. Reclining function was not available - no button. Infotainment, however was more that just inadequate. Some TV channels playing the same Big Bang Theory episode on 3-4 channels, both on the inbound and return flight, 8 days apart. Movies - no information as to which movies playing, and once they commenced you have to go up and down trying to figure out. In addition, announcements sometimes blackout the movie (which is not paused) therefore losing content by the minutes. On the return flight, the movies paused with announcements. For those wishing to power devices: no such thing. All and all, value for money, 1 star. May have been 4 stars when launched, like Air Canada, we are antiquated.
